Many cultures throughout history believed the world to be composed of four basic elements: earth, air, fire, and water. These were considered to be the essential energy forces that sustained life.
Maintaining a balance between them was critical to ensuring physical and emotional well-being.

Founding Partner and Director of Field Operations
PETER RUSSELL
A combat engineer with the Canadian Forces at 17. An architectural drafting technologist graduate at 23. Peter knows construction and project management, and his artistic flair has shaped the Four Elements design and build philosophy.
Over the last 30 years, he has honed his experience as a home designer, estimator, construction coordinator, site supervisor, project manager, and private home builder. In his last corporate role before founding Four Elements, Peter managed the construction of single-family, multi-family, commercial, and land development projects in the Edmonton market for one of the largest and most successful national home builders in Canada.
In 2010, Peter seized an opportunity to found Four Elements Construction Inc and apply his well-established construction skills in the pursuit of his own creative passion.
Partner and Director of Business Operations
JOSEPH ALVES
Joseph recalls fondly the many years working in his father’s construction company as a young adult while going to school. He graduated from the University of Alberta with both B.Sc. & B.Comm degrees, and later completed an MBA with Dalhousie University in Halifax. Joseph spent 25 years with two of the largest national financial services organizations in Canada working up to executive positions before moving on to other business opportunities.
One of these business opportunities led him to experience first-hand the quality, care, and commitment that goes into every Four Elements project. He subsequently chose to become a full partner with the firm in early 2018.
Joseph is very proud to be part of this top-tier renovation and construction company and looks forward to many more years of success and growth.
