PROJECT SUMMARY
This basement renovation focused on transforming a newer home’s basement to better suit the client’s design preferences and lifestyle — complete with a custom scotch bar, gym, and a medieval-themed media room.
THE VISION FOR THIS RENOVATION
The homeowners wanted a rustic, immersive experience in the basement. Key goals included adding functional spaces like a gym and scotch bar, and a standout “Game of Thrones”-inspired theatre.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS APPROACH
We created a custom scotch bar with built-in seating, divided the new gym area with a glass wall, and added fireplaces upstairs and downstairs with tile, brick, and custom cabinetry.
The basement received wood beams and posts to complete the rustic aesthetic, along with a custom castle-style barn door for the media room.
