PROJECT SUMMARY
This custom home renovation was about bringing unity and sophistication to the main floor. The clients wanted to refresh the space, open up key rooms, and bring cohesion to the overall design.
THE VISION FOR THIS RENOVATION
At the heart of the renovation was a new chef-style kitchen and open great room combining kitchen, dining, and living areas. Additional updates included converting a den into a workspace, modernizing the family room, and expanding the home’s vaulted cedar ceilings.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS APPROACH
We installed a large central island and professional-grade kitchen appliances to anchor the great room. The cedar ceiling was refurbished and extended to cover the new kitchen, bringing warmth and continuity. We added a stacked stone fireplace surround, laid new hardwood flooring throughout, and customized desks and shelving for the new home office. The family room received new windows and a statement Venetian plaster fireplace.
