PROJECT SUMMARY
We modernized an Edmonton, Greenfield 1970s-era bungalow without sacrificing the ’70s feel that the clients fell in love with.
THE VISION FOR THIS RENOVATION
We had renovated our clients’ previous home. They called us back to modernize the home they just bought.
They wanted a refresh of the main floor and basement but also wanted to maintain the ’70s vibe of the original design of the home, as this suited their style and was the reason they purchased it.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS APPROACH
Other than making an opening in the wall between the kitchen and living room, we preserved the interior structure of the home.
We stayed true to the 1970s design but upgraded the look and feel with natural hardwood floors, modern floor and bathroom tiles, and custom wood paneling. The result being an elegant and modernized 1970s bungalow.
