PROJECT SUMMARY
We were brought in to rescue an Edmonton, Holyrood home from a long-running and unsuccessful renovation that was far from completion. We helped the owner re-purpose a 1970s style bungalow in a prime area into a bright, and modern open-concept, two-bedroom main-floor layout with a fully developed basement with the additional utility of a new, detached double-garage.
THE VISION FOR THIS RENOVATION
The home was fully gutted, the work done to date was not completed properly and the home owner had already invested a lot of money into this project. We came in and helped the owner redesign the main floor and basement into something more modern and open.
We converted the main-floor layout from a three bedroom to a two bedroom. We added a walk-in closet and ensuite to the expanded master bedroom.
THE FOUR ELEMENTS APPROACH
We removed the interior walls to create a large open-concept kitchen, dining nook, large living room and a back entryway with a new railing going down to the basement.
Two additional bedrooms were added in the basement along with a rec room, bar area, and dual purpose washroom and laundry room.
New windows and doors were added throughout the home along with a detached double garage. New siding and soffits provide a completely new exterior look.
What started as a rescue project, turned into a dream home.
